And (Jesus) said unto them, "It is written, My house shall
be called the house of prayer..." Matthew 21:13
When
we think about church prayer, so often we think about going
to a structure built of wood or stone where we meet together
once a week to pray. However, God's house is made of flesh and
blood and built with living stones, and it includes every member
of the Body of Christ (I Cor. 3:16; I Peter 2:5).
From it's inception Cornerstone Word of Life has been committed
to being a house of prayer. The church's prayer ministry was
established, primarily to assist believers in cultivating a
deep relationship with God through prayer. We, most certainly,
should be productive in prayer meetings in our church buildings.
However, we want to help develop believers to have fruitful
prayer lives in their personal walk with the Lord. A church
that doesn't pray is a church of no power. Ours is not to develop
a prayer program, but to have a prayer program in this local
church that develops prayerful people.
Therefore, we have a variety of prayer groups that are available
to help believers grow to be effective, powerful people of prayer.
We also have prayer on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m.
